The fine cotton fabric used to craft our fabric hammock is handwoven in the area of La Antigua Guatemala, on traditional wooden looms. The result is a textile as soft as robust. The tones, the texture and the comfort are unique. This type of mayan fabric, made on wooden looms, is a direct heritage of the Mayan culture. A lively culture in this country where a great part of the population is still directly descending from the Mayan.
The highlands from Guatemala, surrounded by volcanos, are the scenery this type of hammocks are coming from. Each mayan-dreams hammock crafted by hand is unique. The dimensions of our hammock may therefore vary slightly from this standard description. Such fabric hammock brings an extra relaxing space and a wonderful decor touch in any home or a garden. When reasonably used, it’s possible to keep a handwoven hammock intact for many years. Preferably don’t let the fabric of your hammock exposed to rain or below zero temperatures. To preserve it, we also recommend to wash your hammock by hand or in it’s bag, using the delicate program of your machine.
